Senior Centers
The Town’s Senior Citizen Centers serve as a focal point for social, recreational and educational programs for Islip residents 60 years of age and older. Located in six hamlets, all the centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For information about programs, services and activities offered at each center, please call or visit your local center. All of the Senior Centers listed above have a Nutrition Program for the elderly, and transportation is available.

There are 19 Senior Citizen Clubs affiliated with the Town of Islip. Please call for information.
You can download and print the SENIOR CITIZEN CLUB APPLICATION form (see FORMS section), and mail to the Division of Senior Citizen Services.
ADULT DAY CARE SOCIAL MODEL - (631) 436-6046
Located at the Central Islip Senior Citizen Center, this program offers services designed
for the frail-elderly. Fees are based on a sliding scale.
NUTRITION PROGRAM - (631) 224-5659
Lunch is available to Town of Islip Senior Citizens at our six nutrition centers, Monday through Friday. A voluntary contribution of $2 per meal is suggested. Please call for information. Transportation is available.
HOME DELIVERED MEALS - (631) 224-5540
This service delivers one meal, Monday through Friday, to those who are unable to prepare meals and have no one available to assist them while they are incapacitated or recuperating from an illness or accident. A voluntary contribution of $2 per meal is suggested. Please call for information.
ESSENTIAL TRANSPORTATION - (631) 224-5686
Transportation is provided to medical and health care facilities, government services and food shopping, within the Islip Township, Monday through Friday. Call between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to make an appointment. Service for disabled persons is also available. Call at least three to four weeks before service is needed. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program is designed for seniors over 60 years of age who are residents of Islip Town. Clients who are not Medicaid eligible and who need housekeeping services to ensure their health and safety at home, may apply. Please call for information.
RESIDENTIAL REPAIR PROGRAM - (631) 224-5685
The Residential Repair Program exists for Town of Islip senior residents who are no longer able to perform small repairs in their home. Any materials needed must be supplied by the senior homeowner. Labor is supplied by Town of Islip residential repair workers. Although there is no charge for labor, contributions are appreciated and help maintain the program.
