Information Technology Mission/Purpose
The Town of Islip Information Technology Department will be a proactive leader in all areas of the technology field, and our mission will be to identify issues and offering innovative solutions to enable Town departments to accomplish their goals and provide quality services to our citizens more effectively and efficiently.
Information Technology is committed to serving the day-to-day operations of the Town by providing enterprise-wide, integrated solutions with emphasis on providing superior service to our constituents and respected town departments & divisions. We will always ensure effective and efficient utilization of new and existing technology resources and investments. Our constant goal is to exceed internal and external service expectations by implementing leading-edge solutions inline with established EGov best practices. The Town of Islip's DoIT is a leader in providing local government services through innovative, reliable, and responsive information technology solutions.
To provide the highest quality service in partnership with other government agencies, citizens, communities, and constituents.

To ensure executive support and commitment from Town Supervisor, Town Board, and other elected officials.
To ensure all Town of Islip agencies will be treated as equal and important partners of the IT Department.
To empower our IT user-base to become more self-sufficient and technologically confident.
