Islip Town Board Celebrates National Women’s History Month

Islip, NY – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, along with the entire Islip Town Board, recently honored four outstanding women in recognition of National Women’s History Month. These women have made a remarkable difference in the community and Town of Islip. They were each presented with an award at the March 8th Town Board Meeting. Among those honored were Deborah Kirnon, Kay Porter, Nancy Manfredonia, and Barbara Ann Stenberg. LuAnn Palazzo was also recognized as the contributing artist for the celebration. Her artwork will be displayed in the Town Board Room at Islip Town Hall for all to see throughout the month.

“The Town of Islip is proud to continue the 30-year tradition of celebrating Women’s History Month by honoring the women within our community who have certainly earned this special recognition for their generous and dedicated efforts,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
