Islip, NY – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently joined Assemblyman Phil Ramos at the Bay Shore Spray Park, where it was announced that funding from New York State has been secured to aid in the construction of a spray park at Roberto Clemente Park in Brentwood. Assemblyman Ramos and Supervisor Carpenter also announced that the New York State DEC has given their approval to move ahead with plans that will restore the park to its position as a cornerstone of the Brentwood community.

“I want to thank Assemblyman Ramos for the dedication and determination he shows on behalf of this community,” said Supervisor Carpenter. “We are committed to transforming Roberto Clemente Park into a premier attraction not just for those in Brentwood, but for the entire Islip community.”

Town officials are currently exploring many options to restore the attractions at Roberto Clemente, and are working with community leaders to ensure that the final product will be a source of pride for local residents.
