Local Supermarket Celebrates Grand Opening in Brentwood

Town Officials stand in front of Food Bazzar to cut ribbon

Islip, NY – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was recently joined by other local officials and executives from Food Bazaar Supermarkets in Brentwood at the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newest Food Bazaar location. The new store, which occupies the vacancy left by Pathmark on Wicks Road, has already hired over one hundred local residents to staff and manage the services available. Food Bazaar provides a full supermarket experience, while also focusing on providing ingredients for cultural dishes that cannot be found in a traditional supermarket.

“This company understands the strength of the Brentwood community, and we’re proud to be partners with them in making our Town a better place to live and work,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.

Councilman Steve Flotteron, Councilman John Cochrane, Jr., and Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen echoed Supervisor Carpenter’s remarks and praised Food Bazaar and their parent company, Bogopa Services, for their contributions to the Brentwood area.
