Islip, NY – Islip Town Councilman Steve Flotteron (far left) and Town Clerk Olga Murray (sixth from the right) were joined by other officials to celebrate the efforts of local students during the recent “Teens for Jeans” event.

Local schools partnered with the South Shore Community Organization to collect unwanted blue jeans, which will then be donated to local homeless shelters.  County Legislator Tom Cilmi and Keep Islip Clean (KIC) Director Nancy Cochran were also on hand to recognize the hard work of the students.
