Town of Islip Announces Open Nominations for Women’s History Celebration

Islip, NY – Islip Town Supervisor Tom Croci is pleased to announce that the Town of Islip is currently accepting nominations for the 2012 celebration of Women’s History Month. The Town will celebrate Women’s History Month by recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the Islip community, and who live or work in the Town of Islip.
Those being honored will represent a broad spectrum of careers and interests, but whose common goal has been to improve our community to the benefit of all Islip residents.
“The Town Board and I are proud to accept nominations for this year’s celebration of Women’s History Month,” says Supervisor Croci. “Our goal for this ceremony is to ask residents to recognize women in our town that have made significant contributions to the Islip community, and the lives of our residents.”
Those who are interested in nominating a woman from our community are invited to submit a nomination form before February 10, 2012. Residents can request a nomination be mailed to them by calling the Office of Human Development at 224-5325. The nomination form can also be downloaded by clicking HERE.
