Keep Islip Clean Welcomes New Junior Commissioners

Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Alexis Weik, Islip Receiver of Taxes and Keep Islip Clean Executive Director Nancy Cochran recently, to swear in over 40 high school students to the KIC Junior Commissioner Program. The students, all recommended by their school principals, were honored for demonstrating environmental, social, civic and academic responsibility. Representing the Bay Shore, Bayport, Brentwood, Central Islip, Connetquot, East Islip, Hauppauge, Islip, Sayville, and West Islip high schools, the new Junior Commissioners will play a vital role in the future of keeping the Town of Islip a clean and beautiful place to live.
