Program Shows Appreciation for First Responders

Islip, NY – Islip Town Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen recently attended a “Protect the Protectors” event at the headquarters of the Sayville Community Ambulance Company. This initiative, hosted by State Farm Insurance, was established to demonstrate the community’s appreciation for the work of our local first responders. As part of this effort, State Farm donated Canary Home Security Devices that will be installed in the homes of many local police, fire, and EMS personnel.

“Our local police, fire, and EMS departments will always be there for us when we need them most,” said Councilwoman Mullen. “I proud and grateful that State Farm made a concerted effort to join us in recognizing all that our first responders do for the community.”

Councilwoman Mullen was joined by Suffolk County Legislators Bill Lindsay and Monica Martinez, as well as first responders from across Islip Town.
