The goal of the Islip Animal Shelter is to enforce animal control measures needed to protect the health, safety, and welfare of Islip residents and, wherever possible, to promote animal welfare. The shelter houses stray and abandoned animals and makes every effort to have as many of those animals adopted as is possible. A dedicated, compassionate staff of employees and volunteers facilitates this process.
