Melbourne, FL Officials Celebrate New Routes to Long Island MacArthur Airport

Melbourne officials and Elite Airways executives prepare to cut a celebratory cake

Islip, NY – Officials in the City of Melbourne, FL joined executives from Elite Airways at their own celebration of the new flights to and from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Melbourne. Islip officials were recently joined by their counterparts in Melbourne at a celebration at MacArthur Airport which marked the inaugural flight on Elite Airways’ new eastern seaboard venture. Elite Airways now offers flights from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Myrtle Beach, Melbourne, and Portland, ME (with continuing service to Bar Harbor). 

“We’re proud to be partners not just with Elite Airways, but also with the good people of Melbourne,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “This is a relationship that will shape the future of MacArthur Airport.” 

“We thank Long Island MacArthur Airport and Islip’s community leaders for their support, and look forward to flying passengers to and from ISP this summer,” said John Pearsall, CEO of Elite Airways.
