Islip Town Supervisor Presents Local Breast Cancer Coalitions with Employee “Wear Pink Day” Donations

November 14th, 2017 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Arthur Abbate, Personnel Director, UPSEU Representatives Ellen Pleasant and Kevin Boyle, on behalf of all Town employees Tuesday, November 14th to present representatives from three local Breast Cancer Coalitions with funds raised during the Town’s October is Breast Cancer Awareness event. A total of $600 was donated by employees during last month’s Wear Pink Day, with each coalition receiving $200. Gina Cacoperdo of the Islip Breast Cancer Coalition, Joanne Marquardt of the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition, and Elsa Ford of the Brentwood/Bay Shore Breast Cancer Coalition were on hand to receive both the donation and the Town’s gratitude.
